Stone Table Society is an organization committed to seeing
through social and economic improvements in communities by
partnering with existing groups who share the same vision in
the betterment of these communities. Stone Table Society is
focused on efficient programs and solutions that will
gradually develop these hard areas.
The goal of Stone Table Society is to make our community aware
of the staggering needs in stricken areas of social and economic
deficiencies. Unfortunately, many statistics and stories of these
hardships tend to leave us disconnected as we tend to familiarize
ourselves with critical issues, however find ourselves without
any viable opportunities. Empathy towards these situations are
always evident, and it is Stone Table Society’s goal to materialize
this awareness into opportunities to act upon them.
It is easy to essentially “throw” money at various
charitable groups and organizations. At times, we feel our
level of responsibility ceases once the funds are out of our
hands. There is a sense of accomplishment when we look at
how much we may have given to help various causes throughout
the world. Donors giving money should not be the point of
celebration or achievement. It is the end result that Stone
Table Society looks to for any level of progress,
effectiveness and ultimately, achievement. Unless there is a
long standing showing of progress and effectiveness in the
challenging areas that we support, we will not be satisfied.
To make progress in these areas, economic solutions must be found
through multiple aspects such as clean water, technological advancement
in agriculture, basic health care and the prevention of curable
diseases, educational opportunities for young people, economic
outlooks for trading of goods and so forth. These are just some
of the fundamental needs for sustainable economic and social growth
in underdeveloped and poverty stricken areas. By creating awareness
within our community, we hope to initiate a move to activism with
viable opportunities to help improve and fulfill the basic needs
in these areas.
